Welcome back Tigers! My name is Maribel Bautista, 8th grade Guidance Counselor. I could not be more excited for what this new school year has in store for us. I am eager to get to know all of my 8th grade students and their families as the year progresses. I am happy to be your support system throughout your middle school years, and are aware how middle school can be challenging and overwhelming at times. What makes my story unique, is that I am able to relate to you in so many ways. I promoted from Parlier Jr. High School in 1999, then graduated from Parlier High School in 2003. I am a proud Parlier Panther, and nothing is more rewarding then giving back to my community. I hope to be a role model to all of my students, and push them every day to reach their full potential. I strongly believe one caring person can impact a student’s life in so many positive ways. It took one caring person for me to believe in myself and pursue a college degree. I completed my undergrad in Social Work from Fresno State in 2008, and pursued a Masters Degree in Counseling-Counseling and Student Service Option in 2011. My passion for guidance counseling is what motivates me to inspire young adults, and be that one caring person in their lives.

Hello Tigers! My name is Jacqueline Martinez and it is an honor to be working at Parlier Jr. High School as the 7th Grade School Counselor. This is my third year working at PJHS and my fifth year working as a School Counselor. I graduated from Fresno State with my degree in Psychology and then received my Masters degree in School Counseling from Fresno Pacific University. One of the things that I love most about my role is the ability to connect with parents, students, and staff members. I am committed to support, empower, and encourage students to be the best that they can be. I cannot wait to get to know you, your family, and your child so that I can be of support. I look forward to a year filled with fun and a lot of meaningful experiences. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or if I can be of any assistance.
